Wax London’s Brockwell Swim Shorts Are a Smart Summer Move

Wax London has gone for two lanes here: textured seersucker or cleaner logo-led styles. Either way, the new Brockwell Swim Shorts collection feels like a step up from the usual holiday swimwear you end up forgetting about after one trip.

At the sharper end are the Brockwell Blue Tile Seersucker Swim Shorts and Brockwell Ecru and Black Seersucker Swim Shorts, both £95. They’ve got a bit more texture and presence than your average pair, which makes them feel a little more considered without turning them into something too precious.

The length is spot on. Short enough to look neat, but not so short that they feel tight or awkward, and not so long that they start to look a bit sloppy. That middle ground is exactly why they work.

The rest of the details are sensible enough: an internal mesh lining, drawcord waistband, rear zip pocket and hanging loop, plus a quick-drying finish that should make them genuinely useful. It’s the sort of stuff you want in swim shorts, really, although you don’t always get it.

If you want something simpler, there’s also the Brockwell Black Logo Swim Shorts in both black or blue, all priced at £70.

Overall, these swimmer are a good choice. They’re easy to smarten up if you’re heading to lunch, whilst remaining practical enough for relaxing in. The holy grail!

Seersucker or logo-led, which pair would you pick?
