Robinson & Dapper are a Scottish brand based in Denmark. How does that work? Well the company was founded just last year by Scot Sarah Robinson, who had the brainwave of pairing simplistic Scandinavian design with quality pure Scottish wool.
The Robinson & Dapper designs which include bow ties, neck ties and pocket squares are all hand-made in a Denmark workshop using lambswool, tweed and twill from 3 mills in Scotland. The designs are available in a variety of bright colours, muted tones and tartans. The texture of the wool and the simple design of the collection makes items easily transferable from a smart look to something a little more casual.
Teaming modern design with classic fabrics is not a brand new concept by any stretch of the imagination. Just take a look at the recent collections by Chanel for example and you will see a host of tartan and tweed included. The result is a beautiful and timeless finished product.
